Plane Disappears in Alaska: Search Underway for 10 People Onboard

A plane with ten people aboard has been reported missing near Nome, the main city in western Alaska. According to local authorities, the Alaska State Police received notification about the flight at 4:00 PM (01:00 GMT on Friday).
The aircraft, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan operated by Bering Air, was traveling between Unalakleet and Nome. The last recorded signal from the flight, according to FlightRadar data, was at 3:16 PM over Norton Sound.

Currently, rescue teams are conducting an active search in an area approximately 30 miles (50 kilometers) in the region.
Adams also noted that if the plane is not found soon, it is likely that additional teams will be called in to assist with the search. Furthermore, the Nome Volunteer Fire Department has requested that the public refrain from organizing individual search groups due to adverse weather conditions and safety concerns.
The Coast Guard is exploring the area, and a C-130 aircraft will conduct a grid search aimed at locating the site of the incident, according to the official statement from the fire department.
